The West Virginia Division of Tourism and the Professional Golf Association Tour, extend an invitation to you, one of West Virginia’s most talented and treasured artisans, to enter an exciting, new competition to design the winning trophy for the PGA TOUR/Nationwide Tour Players Cup tournament. The winning design will be a unique glass trophy that will be awarded at the inaugural PGA TOUR/Nationwide Tour Players Cup tournament scheduled to take place July 7-13, 2008, at the Pete Dye Golf Club in Bridgeport,W.Va. The event will be featured on the Golf Channel, giving both the tournament and the trophy national and international exposure. The trophy design also will be used in marketing materials, and copies of the trophy will be displayed at PGA headquarters and the West Virginia Governor’s Office in Charleston.
